High School Challenge (30 minutes)

Time: 5:45 pm - 6:15 pm

The High School Challenge is a mass participation event which involves students from High Schools attempting to run as many 1km laps as possible in 30 minutes. School are encouraged to have as many students present as possible as no limit applies to number of students in their team. Teachers and parents are also encouraged to participate for their school. Prizes will be awarded for the school which can collectively complete the greatest number of laps.

Lap counting will be conducted manually by volunteers and each school will be required to be in school uniform.

Students are allowed to continue on a last lap if they pass through the start/finish area in 27 minutes, but all students have to have finished their final lap after 35 minutes. Prizes will be in the form of a monetary grant to the schools Student Representative Council (SRC); $1500 for first, $750 for second, $250 for third.

The cost of entry will be a gold coin donation.
