Primary Schools Challenge (20 minutes)

Time: 5:00 pm - 5:20 pm

The Primary School Challenge is a mass participation event which involves students from Primary Schools attempting to run as many 1km laps as possible in 20 minutes. School are encouraged to have as many students present as possible as no limit applies to number of students in their team and prizes will be awarded for the school which can collectively complete the greatest number of laps. Teachers and parents are also encouraged to participate for their school.

Lap counting will be conducted manually by volunteers and each school will be required to be in school uniform.

Students are allowed to continue on a last lap if they pass through the start/finish area in 17 minutes, but all students have to have finished their final lap after 25 minutes. Prizes will be in the form of monetary grants for sporting equipment; $1500 for first, $750 for second, $250 for third.

The cost of entry will be a gold coin donation.
