The Mizuno Lightning Strike Run race will also have a 11km option. The 11km option will start at the western entrance to Windslade on Cotter Road (gate located 200m further down from Camp Cottermouth entrance on right-hand side of road driving down towards the Cotter) and run back to Stromlo Forest Park. A journey that is pre-dominantly uphill! An aid station will be provided at the 5.5km point for 11km event. The 11km event will start at 8am.
In the case of a total fire ban, a course within SFP will be used for this event.
Prizes will be awarded for performances based on an age, sex handicapped format.
To be eligible points in the Percy Cerutty award, runners must compete in the 30km event.
A bus service will be available to take competitors to the start of the event at a cost of $5.
The 11km option will contain approximately 160m of climbing and 60m of descending for a total 100m elevation gain.
