On-Site Accommodation

One of the fantastic and unique features of the STROMLO Running Festival is the on-site facilities for camping, caravans and catering. Competitors who stay on-site will ensure that they don’t miss out on any of the festival atmosphere and non-stop action over the weekend. Showers, toilets, on-site catering and entertainment ensures there will not be any reason to leave the event site all weekend – except in your runners!

A range of camping and caravan sites are available for registered participants. Camping sites will be located on either side of the main expo site and will be allocated on a first-come first-serve basis. If you would like a specific site, or to be close to other campers, please let us know (email lwicks@runforyourlife.com.au). We will endeavour to allocate adjoining sites for individuals registering from the same group or club.

The cost of each camp site is $20 per person for the whole weekend, providing exceptional value for competitors.

In 2010, there will be a special offer for clubs or groups with more than 20 registered competitors who stay on-site at Stromlo Forest Park. If more than 20 registered participants from the same club pay for camping or caravans sites, STROMLO will refund to the club the full payment for camping/caravans for all members of the club.

Caravan sites are also available at a cost of $50 per caravan. The main caravan site is located in the top dirt car park approximately 100m from the main expo site. Water facilities are available for caravans in this location.

Catering

A range of options will be available for those seeking food at the event site. There will be plenty of healthy options at a low cost, especially for those competitors who pre-order their meals when they enter.

Breakfast (Saturday and Sunday)

A continental style breakfast consisting of cereals, toast, fruit salad, yogurt, and fruit juice will be provide at a cost of $8 (pre-purchased) or $10 (purchased on-site).

Lunch (Saturday and Sunday)

Lunch will consists of a selection of rolls and wraps, plus a piece of fruit and container of fruit juice at the cost of $8 (pre-purchased) or $10 (purchased on-site).

Pasta Party (Friday night)

Incorporated with the Movie Night, the Pasty Party will consist of two choices of pasta or lasagne with salad at the cost of $12 (pre-purchased) or $14 (purchased on-site).

BBQ Dinner

A BBQ style dinner will be serving steaks, sausages, and salad at the cost of $12 (pre-purchased) or $14 (purchased on-site).

Over the course of the weekend a food van will also be operating serving hot drinks (including coffee), cold drinks, and snacks. Alcohol (including a range of beers and wines) will also be available to be purchased on-site over the course of the weekend.
